'The Futurist' - Thursday 18th January 2018

Somewhere in our future is a challenge stamped boldly with a name clearly visible. That name is your name; a challenge just waiting for you to embrace your own inductive and deductive reasoning powers. If you are not sure whether you have those powers, never fear, we will work collaboratively so that you can participate in an adventure to discover all you will need to meet the challenge.

PHYSICS: AN ADVENTURE where you seek to find the base of all measurable quantities in the universe and how they relate to each other – patterns.

You will need to hypothesise and test your theories, visually recording your solutions and producing tangible models of your solutions with the most unlikely of substances. As a dreamer, designer, creator or storyteller you may make discoveries that reveal the futurist of our time just could be you.

Important Notes

What’s in a dream? Everything we want the world to be; ‘if only’ the world could be all that we could dream. Dreaming, scheming, planning and thinking are tools we use to shape the creations, the actions and the reactions in our world. But what if we need to create something that does not even exist yet in our world; something that is yet to be discovered; something from our yet to be future? Do we dare to try?

Join other dreamers of our future as we tackle a really perplexing design problem that will need you to muster both your logical and illogical thoughts if we are to become the creators of our future.

This course is designed for students who would be eligible to attend school Years 2 to 4 in 2018. Home schooled students are welcome to attend.
